A French, May-December love story following 50 something Alain (Depardieu). Alain's a local celebrity in Clermont-Ferrand, where he sings jolly-cum-sentimental faves in a dance hall till 3:30 a.m.

A pro who never misses his marks, despite an encroaching sense of being in the twilight of his career, Alain spots a beautiful young blonde, Marion (de France), in the audience one night and -- karamba! Marion is unimpressed at first by the chanteur when he parlays a meeting the next day. But Alain's quiet persistence and frank, self-deprecating attitude finally tempt her to a night between the sheets -- but she makes a clandestine exit next morning before the old boy wakes.

Alain's passion is not discouraged by Michele (Christine Citti), his manager and ex-wife, so long as he keeps on with his career. But Marion, who has a young son by a previous liaison, is extremely cautious; despite a growing attraction to Alain, she doesn't want to fall too easily for his evidently practiced charm.

Action terasa kurang menggigit, mungkin karena tidak ada "dog fight" antara Mirage2000 dengan musuh -- apalagi saat ini Prancis tidak dalam keadaan berperang dengan negara lain -- dan lebih mengandalkan plot cerita.

While in an international fair of exhibition of airplanes, a French Mirage 2000 of the last generation vanishes and pilots Antoine "Walk'n" Marchelli and Sebastian "Fahrenheit" Vallois are assigned to locate the plane that is flying in a hiding position below a commercial airplane. The pilots order the Mirage to return to the base, but the Mirage attacks Fahrenheit instead, and Walk'n immediately shots the Mirage saving his partner. However, the evidences are forged by the leader of a force called "Special Missions" and Walk'n is falsely accused of not following the orders and discharged from the air force. Blacklisted in the commercial flight companies, Walk'n and Fahrenheit are pressed to join the Special Missions team, where they disclose betrayals in a net of espionage.

Elliot, seorang agen rahasia, mengetahui informasi rahasia yang dikatakan akan mengakibatkan kejatuhan ekonomi dan situasi perang di Amerika Serikat. Para investor Arab yang menjadi kliennya sudah diperingatkan, dan untuk informasi tsb, ia minta dibayar puluhan juta dollar dan diwariskan untuk anak-anak tirinya, Orlando dan David.

Irène membantunya untuk mempertemukankan mereka, namun ada sang pembunuh, William, yang terus2an mengintai & mengikuti Irène demi menghabisi nyawa si Elliot (for what reason?). Dan Irène pun harus mencari cara untuk menghindar dari Wiliam agar dapat bertemu Elliot di kota Venice..

Film ini bukan full-action dan mempunyai plot yang sangat lemah. "Perang ideologi (USA vs. France)" yang di bawa dua anak tiri Elliot tidak menunjukkan debat yang cerdas, cenderung lebih pada ignorance..mungkin hanya untuk tujuan humor semata. Pada akhirnya mereka malah saling jatuh cinta.

Juliette Binoche sebagai Irène tampil lumayan dan ia tampil bilingual dalam film ini.
