Kalau ada cinta segi empat, yang mana melibatkan 3 orang laki-laki dan 1 orang perempuan, terus kemudian satu laki-laki itu bersaudara kandung dengan satu perempuan tsb, bagimana menjelaskan cerita cinta seruwet ini??

Ceritanya mungkin biasa aja, dan akting Daniel Brühl (sebagai Paul Krantz) mungkin agak sedikit canggung walaupun begitu setting tahun 1920-an digarap dengan serius.

Jack Palmer, seorang detektif, disewa oleh seseorang untuk mencari seseorang (nah lho..) bernama Leoni yang tinggal di Pulau Korsika. Semua orang yang ditanya mengenai Leoni merasa tidak nyaman. Tak taunya Leoni adalah tokoh separatis Korsika yang disegani.

Di awal film sudah menjanjikan, tapi ke belakang kualitas cerita semakin melorot.

Nilai plusnya adalah tampilnya satu pemeran dalam film 007 Casino Royale, yaitu Caterina Murino. Tubuhnya seksi khas italiano hhhmmppphh....

Ada adegan yang dapat memancing tawa, namun lebih banyak guyon yang 'sangat Prancis', dalam artian 'you'll laugh if you're a french' hehehe... malah ada candaan yang spesifik Korsika.. mana kita tahu ya??

Banlieu 13 adalah suatu kawasan suburban di Paris yang terkenal penuh dengan kriminalitas dan agar dapat ditangani, didirikan dinding di sekelilingnya.
Seorang polisi, Damien, ditugaskan untuk 'masuk' dan 'menyamar' di sana, tetapi misi yang dijalaninya untuk mencari bom ternyata tidak seperti yang dipikirkan..

Dari segi pengembangan cerita memang tidak terlalu oke, tapi untuk action terutama adegan kejar-kejarannya (orang, bukan mobil lho) patut diacungi jempol.

Saya harus akui bahwa film ini sangat luar biasa dan patut mendapat perhatian dari penggemar film. Dari segi cerita, seperti thriller kebanyakan, jawaban akan ditemukan pada akhir cerita setelah melewati beberapa 'petunjuk'..
Ini menarik untuk disimak, bahwa lika-liku aksi si protagonis Mathilde dalam mencari kekasihnya Manech harus dengan menelusuri semua petunjuk yang ada (even the slightest!).. jangan sampai mata anda lepas dari layar :P

Film mengenai pembunuh bayaran seharusnya tampil penuh 'kekerasan', tapi Lautlos lebih memilih 'kelembutan'. Anda tak mendapat kesempatan sedikitpun untuk melihat adegan blood-spurting dalam film ini. Aman untuk anak-anak :p

Viktor, si pembunuh bayaran, dalam usaha melarikan diri dari kejaran polisi setelah beraksi, bertemu dengan Nina dan jatuh cinta. Ceritanya memang cliché, tp ada beberapa bagian cerita yang unik. Ga bisa kasih komentar banyak ni..tonton sendiri aja ya. Btw, Lautlos in german language rhymes with Loudless in english alias tak bersuara :p nah, that's a true assassin's business ;)

Inilah film yang menggambarkan detik-detik terakhir hidup Hitler, sang diktator Jerman Nazi. Beruntung sebelumnya saya telah membaca sebuah buku otobiografi bagus dari Siegfried Knappe (Soldat, Reflections of a German Soldier: 1936-1949), veteran perang yang juga ikut dalam mempertahankan bunker kediaman Hitler sebelum ia bunuh diri. Sebagai pelaku sejarah (Knappe juga digambarkan dalam film ini), tulisannya sedikit banyak dapat memberi tambahan nuansa lain untuk menambal informasi yang tidak cukup terlihat dalam film. Bagi yang tidak mengikuti sejarah perang dunia dan situasi Jerman mendekati akhir perang, this book really provides a good companion.

Dengan plot yang sesimpel itu, yang menarik adalah masalah perbedaan budaya dimana ada keluarga Turki yang masih kolot dan memegang teguh adat dan agama, sedangkan di pihak yang lain sudah mulai mengikuti budaya setempat.. Wajib ditonton!

Ketika Peter pergi liburan, Jan membuka rahasia kepada kekasih Peter, Jules, yang akhirnya membawa mereka berdua beraksi ala "The Edukators" untuk membalaskan dendamnya Jules kepada businessman yang telah membuatnya berhutang. Karena kecerobohan, aksi mereka ketauan dan kemudian Jan, Peter dan Jules harus melakukan 'aksi penculikan'..
