Film mengenai pembunuh bayaran seharusnya tampil penuh 'kekerasan', tapi Lautlos lebih memilih 'kelembutan'. Anda tak mendapat kesempatan sedikitpun untuk melihat adegan blood-spurting dalam film ini. Aman untuk anak-anak :p

Viktor, si pembunuh bayaran, dalam usaha melarikan diri dari kejaran polisi setelah beraksi, bertemu dengan Nina dan jatuh cinta. Ceritanya memang cliché, tp ada beberapa bagian cerita yang unik. Ga bisa kasih komentar banyak ni..tonton sendiri aja ya. Btw, Lautlos in german language rhymes with Loudless in english alias tak bersuara :p nah, that's a true assassin's business ;)

It follows the same premise the book it is based on (Asterix and Cleopatra) except it has added a few original twist such as a love affair between Asterix and one of Cleopatra's maids and has some tongue in cheek goes at such films as the Matrix, Starwars and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Gael Garcia Bernal (aktor Meksiko) berperan sebagai Stephane, orang yang tidak bisa membedakan antara mimpi dan kenyataan. Sebagai penonton pun, kita juga sama-sama "bingung".. kadang mengundang tawa ketika Stephane bermimpi ia melakukan sesuatu..ternyata hal itu (secara realita) benar-benar ia lakukan!

Life seems to be looking up for shy and withdrawn Stephane when he is coaxed to return to his childhood home with the promise of a job in the mundane world of copy setting. Wildly creative, his fanciful and sometimes disturbing dream life constantly threatens to usurp his waking world. Inilah film yang menggambarkan detik-detik terakhir hidup Hitler, sang diktator Jerman Nazi. Beruntung sebelumnya saya telah membaca sebuah buku otobiografi bagus dari Siegfried Knappe (Soldat, Reflections of a German Soldier: 1936-1949), veteran perang yang juga ikut dalam mempertahankan bunker kediaman Hitler sebelum ia bunuh diri. Sebagai pelaku sejarah (Knappe juga digambarkan dalam film ini), tulisannya sedikit banyak dapat memberi tambahan nuansa lain untuk menambal informasi yang tidak cukup terlihat dalam film. Bagi yang tidak mengikuti sejarah perang dunia dan situasi Jerman mendekati akhir perang, this book really provides a good companion.

In the dead of a November 1942, a group of young women are escorted by SS officer through the wood to Wolf's Lair, Hitler's headquarters in Eastern Prussia. They are candidates for the post of personal secretary to the Fuehrer. Among them is 22 year old Traudl Junge, a fresh faced girl from Munich. Traudl is chosen for the job and she is overcome with joy at the thought of serving beside her Fuehrer.

Berlin, April 20, 1945: Hitler has retreated to a bunker system under the German Chancellery. Traudl Junge is asleep in her room, deep beneath the ground. She is awakened by tremors from artillery fire. The enemy is getting closer. Charting the last 10 days of Hitler's life, from his 56th birthday on April 20th, 1945 to his suicide on April 30th, the film use multiple characters to show the chaos of a country coming apart at the seams, from Hitler's henchman under the streets of Berlin, to the soldiers and civilians fighting and dying as the Soviet Army ravaged the city above.

Saya pernah lihat suatu acara documentary di televisi, bahwa rejim Jerman Timur memperkerjakan hampir separuh jumlah penduduknya untuk memata-matai penduduk yang lain. Film ini juga bertemakan hal demikian.

Dreyman adalah seorang sutradara panggung drama yang sukses. Dan kekasihnya, Sieland, aktris panggung yang sukses pula. Masalah datang ketika sang Menteri Kebudayaan mulai naksir Sieland dan mengajaknya berkencan.

Seorang petugas, Wiesler, kemudian disuruh untuk memata-matai tempat tinggal mereka, dengan memasang alat pengintai suara. Ketika Wiesler mengetahui ada rencana Dreyman untuk melarikan diri ke Jerman Barat, ia tidak melaporkan ke atasannya.. kenapa?? happy-ending deh.. ;)

Dengan plot yang sesimpel itu, yang menarik adalah masalah perbedaan budaya dimana ada keluarga Turki yang masih kolot dan memegang teguh adat dan agama, sedangkan di pihak yang lain sudah mulai mengikuti budaya setempat.. Wajib ditonton!

Setting di Jerman Timur pada waktu sebelum reunifikasi.. Seorang ibu, Christiane Kerner, mendadak koma setelah melihat anaknya digelandang oleh aparat keamanan Jerman Timur. Christiane sempat traumatis gara2 ditinggal suaminya kabur ke Barat, dan 'terpaksa'/'dipaksa' menjadi patriot sejati akibat rongrongan badan intelijen Jertim--devoting herself to the fatherland and despising any capitalism references of the West.

Ketika siuman dari koma, tak dinyana Jerman telah menjadi satu, dan si anak, Alex, tak ingin ibunya kena serangan jantung lagi kalo ia tahu rezim Jertim sudah ambruk. So, Alex harus memutar otak untuk meyakinkan ibunya bahwa everything is still alright in East Germany. Kebingungan terjadi ketika si ibu minta sesuatu yang hanya ada di era Jertim: berbagai merk makanan, saluran televisi dsb. Sama bingungnya bagi Alex untuk menjelaskan kepada sang ibu ketika dari jendela terpampang banner iklan Coca-Cola! atau saat ibunya melihat patung Lenin yang diangkut helikopter untuk dipindahkan entah ke mana.. Nah, jadi bagaimana Alex mengatasinya?? watch the movie, ya.. ;)

and don't forget to gaze at Lara (kekasih Alex yang diperankan oleh aktris Rusia, Chulpan Khamtova...) wow, she's so gorgeous!!

Film menceritakan dua orang sohib sesama aktivis, Jan (Daniel Bruhl) dan Peter (Stipe Erceg) yang beraksi di tengah malam khusus untuk bikin berantakan rumah orang-orang kaya yang lagi kosong.. :p dengan meninggalkan catatan: "Your days of plenty are numbered". They are known as THE EDUKATORS!

Ketika Peter pergi liburan, Jan membuka rahasia kepada kekasih Peter, Jules, yang akhirnya membawa mereka berdua beraksi ala "The Edukators" untuk membalaskan dendamnya Jules kepada businessman yang telah membuatnya berhutang. Karena kecerobohan, aksi mereka ketauan dan kemudian Jan, Peter dan Jules harus melakukan 'aksi penculikan'..

Dalam masa penculikan tersebut, Jan dan Jules menjadi semakin 'dekat', membuat Peter merasa terkhianati. Bagus untuk dicermati dialog-dialog antara 3 orang idealis ini dengan orang yang diculik.. you know, socialism vs capitalism..

Jan, Peter and Jule are living out their rebellious youth. They are united by their passion to change the state of the world. Jan channels his anger into causes. Unknown to Jule, Jan and Peter are the ‘Edukators’, mysterious perpetrators of creative, non-violent warnings to the local yacht club members that their "days of plenty are numbered." As it happens, Jule has a secret of her own: an accident in an uninsured vehicle has left her with a lifetime of monthly payments to a rich businessman named Hardenberg. While Peter is away on holiday, Jan and Jules recklessly break into Hardenberg's villa for some "edukating." They also give in to the feelings that have been growing between them.

When Jan and Jule are forced to return to the villa to retrieve a forgotten cell phone, they are caught in the act by Hardenberg. They have no choice but to call Peter for help, at the risk of his finding out about their hidden romance. When the trio makes the rash decision to kidnap the rich entrepreneur and retreat to a relative's mountain cabin, the young idealists find themselves face-to-face with the values of the generation in power...

Note:
Russian state bond and anarchic vagabond (a deliciously over top Thierry Frémont) are also part of the mix, with screenwriting newcomers Xavier Dorison and Fabien Nury relying heavily on the inter-textual play between the opera Ivan the Terible - which Krueger's character is putting on Paris - and the story involving contemporary Russia (which is still pre-October revolution). The piece is meant to elevate the generic police procedural plot onto a more lofty plain, with an examination of suppressors versus the suppressed and issues surrounding national pride, but the film tries too hard to draw out these parallels, which are shaky at best. In Les brigades du tigre, Russia only exists in the hearts of the anarchists and not on screen, which in our own times of terrorism does nothing to create any sympathy for these characters, their ultimate, possibly worthy goals largely overshadowed by their dirty methods.

Cornillac, Baer and Gourmet make for a nice trio, their cameraderie completely believing even if some of their slapstick humour falls flat. Jugnot and Fremont have glorified cameo appearances, as does Alexandre Metvedev, who plays the Russian prince that is married to Kruger. The German-born Kruger acquits herself admirably, even if she is bogged down by a script that does not allow her to enorate the heat, passion and sense of intrigue her role seems to suggest on paper. Accorsi, in his French-language debut, is the scene-stealer here, with his character not only having the best story-line--and most spectacular ending--but his sincere demeanour also a welcome contrast to the sometimes overplayed snobbery of the brigades trio.

Sekumpulan film pendek yang masing-masing berlatarbelakang satu bagian (neighbourhood) di kota Paris, dengan segala macam kisah romansa..antara lain di Montmartre, Quais de Seine, Le Marais, Tuileries, Tour Eiffel, Bastille, Père-Lachaise, Faubourg Saint-Denis dll (the name as shown in the film :p).

Belasan cerita pendek ini (jumlahnya 18?) tidak terkait satu sama lain, dengan berbagai ide seperti cerita tentang vampire, gadis muslim, kematian, putus cinta dll..

Note:
Through the neighbourhoods of Paris, love is veiled, revealed, imitated, sucked dry, reinvented and awakened. A group of internationally renowned directors rediscover the city of Paris in a collective work about love.
