Saya harus akui bahwa film ini sangat luar biasa dan patut mendapat perhatian dari penggemar film. Dari segi cerita, seperti thriller kebanyakan, jawaban akan ditemukan pada akhir cerita setelah melewati beberapa 'petunjuk'..
Ini menarik untuk disimak, bahwa lika-liku aksi si protagonis Mathilde dalam mencari kekasihnya Manech harus dengan menelusuri semua petunjuk yang ada (even the slightest!).. jangan sampai mata anda lepas dari layar :P

Note:
Five desperate men shoot themselves in order to be relieved from the horrifying frontline at the Somme in WWI. A court martial decides to punish them by leaving them alone in no-man's land, to be killed in the crossfire. Then all hells breaks loose and they all die. Or not? One of these men's fiancee, a young who can't walk since age 3, receives information that makes her suspect his boyfriend might have gotten away alive. Saya mulai kasih 'respek' ama film2 Jerman, khususnya untuk keluaran baru-baru ini, circa tahun 2000-an. Ceritanya asyik, penggambarannya serius dan teliti, terutama untuk film2 yang menggambarkan suasana jadul era Jerman masih terbelah. Anda bisa lihat film Goodbye Lenin dan Das Leben der Anderen. And I count this one too!

Ketika tembok Berlin didirikan, penduduk Berlin Timur tidak bisa lagi hijrah ke bagian barat untuk meraih kebebasan. Harry yang telah melarikan ke Berlin Barat, berupaya untuk membawa adiknya lari dari Timur dengan cara menggali terowongan/der tunnel. Upaya ini dibantu oleh beberapa orang dengan maksud yang sama, to save their own families in the East.

Mereka harus berkejar-kejaran dengan waktu, dengan pengawasan ketat aparat Jerman Timur, spionase dan dengan berbagai masalah yang timbul sesama penggali terowongan tersebut.

Fakta: ada ratusan terowongan yang dibuat untuk menghubungkan Berlin Barat dan Berlin Timur dengan tujuan yang sama, banyak diantaranya yang gagal.

Based on a true story a group of East Berliners escaping to the West. Harry Melchior was a champion East German swimmer at odds with the system under which he has already been imprisoned. On his own escape, he is determined the arrange the escape to the West of his sister and her family. The idea of the tunnel is born, but the project does not run smoothly. The participants struggle not only with the massive logistics of their task, but betrayal from friends in the East. And always the East German police are close to discovering the plot.

Empat sekawan, tiga cowok (bule, vietnam ama negro) dan satu cewek (arab) bertemu dengan Eve, gadis cantik dan seksi yang misterius, di suatu bar. Mereka akhirnya memutuskan untuk mengantarkan Eve ke rumahnya di daerah pedesaan.

Dari situlah bermula a journey to hell..

Setting di Spanyol abad pertengahan, Alatriste adalah seorang tentara Spanyol. Spanyol waktu itu seperti Amerika jaman sekarang, ikut campur dalam urusan dalam negeri di benua Eropa , termasuk saat Spanyol sebagai kerajaan Katolik berusaha memerangi kaum Protestan di daerah Belanda. Saya agak bingung juga mengikuti sejarah politik dan perang Eropa, tokh itu hanya sebagai latar belakang saja. Fokus film mengenai si Alatriste yang memenuhi janjinya kepada sohib sesama tentara yang gugur di medan perang, yaitu untuk membesarkan anak si sohib.

Saya lebih memusatkan perhatian pada adegan peperangan yang cukup unik, dan ini memang gaya perang abad ke-17. Para tentara masih menggunakan tombak panjang (pike) untuk peperangan jarak dekat, dengan kombinasi senapan jenis lama (musket?) dan meriam walaupun masih belum cukup akurat untuk melumpuhkan musuh. Untuk rujukan hal ini dapat dilihat di Wikipedia.org (pike dan tercio).
